This time last year, we were in the throes of Blue’s Clues. I’m sure I complained about the obscene amount of Blue’s Clues my toddler was watching day in and day out, but now I hold those memories near and dear to my heart.
I was pregnant at the time, and every day after work, me and The Girl would watch Blue’s Clues. Well, mostly I would pray for death (it was my first trimester) and try not to puke, but she loved watching that show.
And at the time, I hated it. Maybe it was the quietness and the slow pace of the show. Maybe it was the fact we had to watch the ONLY THREE On Demand episodes every. stinking. day. Or maybe it was the fact that I knew Steve from Blues Clues was now the kind of guy who lives in hipster Williamsburg and only dates supermodels and looks like this:
It really wasn’t until she started getting into The Wiggles that I really regretted not appreciating Blue’s Clues for what it was at the time – an awesome show that entertained my daughter while giving me approximately 24 minutes to concentrate on not throwing up.
Because The Wiggles actually made me want to throw up. I mean, until I learned to appreciate Anthony from the Wiggles:
Do you miss the shows your kids used to watch when they were small? What shows drove you crazy?

I miss the mellowness of Little Bear and Franklin in the morning. Wubzy and Kai-Lan are too much for me sometimes.
Every once in a while my kids will watch Blue’s Clues. Any thing is better than the Wiggles, even Dora.
Ok, seriously, Anthony is holy moly, great googaly moogaly hot!
And, I miss Maggie and The Ferocious Beast, obv!
